Nice!

You're having the same problem I was having, and still am having, the drums are overpowering the guitar, turn the guitar up a bit, but let the drums stay as is. You've also done something I simply cannot do with synth, which is making it cooperate with the guitar. The drums are very good, but like said above, not too loud, but overpowering the guitar, turn it up. I haven't the ear for picking up bass, so I can't even tell if there's bass in this song, but if there is, turn it up. Overall this song is good, just has some volume problems, I won't take away from it because of that though, 8/10, keep making music.

Ritz190 responds:

yea i gotta learn how to regulate that! but i'm glad you liked the song for what it really is...once i figure all this out, i'll be sure to re-upload the song and make it PERFECT!!! thanks for the review!

It's pretty good,

I'm going to start off on how it is as a song, which is a bit boring to be quite honest, there's no build up, nor is there really a melody, just a beat and a rather monotonous sound. At around 2:30, it begins to just not fit with the drums, but that is fixed at around 2:45, where it goes downhill again at around 2:55, where it resumes the same monotonous sound, offering no melody or idea of what I'm listening to. The beat is very good though. 4/10.

Genshiken responds:

Ok thanks for the review! I wasn't sure how to put this together. As I said though, it was my first time trying out a genre thats weird compared to the hardcore/breakcore stuff I usually do, can't expect amazing results on your first try.

Very nice,

From start to finish, everything flowed perfectly, sounded nice, everything was leveled perfectly. I give this a 10/10!

Very nice!

However, you have a lot of issues with proper transitions it would seem, the melodies you do have are excellent, especially the one at 1:23, but they don't fit with the ones prior to them though, it even seems like they're out of key with the ones before them too, so try working on that more, however, most of the song did flow nicely. Good job, 8/10

Very repetitive,

The song was really the same thing over and over, and it just didn't work out for such a short piece. I really liked the intro, however. You did that one part starting at 00:15 for way too long, so that kind of just ruined it for me. Change around the riff, otherwise the song gets boring.

Overall I give this a 5/10.

AtTarnion responds:

Hm, i see. I'll try and work away from that.

Very nice,

Your Pokemon covers are just good, not much more I can say, no constructive criticism I could offer, it's just great. 10/10, keep making Pokemon covers!

Everlasting-Elements responds:

Sometime soon, sure.

Brings back old memories

First off, I would like to agree with your choice of putting the flute in, it definitely made this cover work better. There's really not much to say about it though, you got the song spot on, and went above and beyond with it. Excellent job, and thank you! 10/10.

krssvr responds:

yeah i don't really like to stray too far from the originals for some reason.. so i guess i should call my songs remakes but naming it remix is just easier thanks i'm glad you liked it

Pretty good.

The drum tracks are quite sloppy, I do like the tone you've got going for the guitar. The bass is too loud, louder than the guitar it'd seem. If you're using Ableton, you're probably use some Line 6 software (Like the POD) to record, I recommend you use a program called Adobe Audition 3.0, I find it to be far superior to Ableton.

So my suggestions, turn the bass down, the guitar is at quite a nice volume, work on the drums. Good job, 7/10.

WarShar responds:

Thanks for the recommendation and the review. Unfortunately, I'm a Mac user and Audition is only available for the PC.

As for the bass thing, it's actually all guitar. The solo is just two octaves lower than you're used to hearing. ;)

Interesting

I'm not at all familiar with this style of music, so I'm not even sure what you're aiming for, all I know is I like it! One thing I noticed is that this piece ended quite abruptly. The drum sound you've got going on is a bit too dominant in the beginning. Very good job, 9/10. I hope to hear more.

WarShar responds:

Hey, thanks.

I'm not really aiming for anything. Just messing around right now. And, you're totally right about the bass drum. It's way too loud in this mix. Need to fix that.

Quite good,

I'm going to start of by saying that this is a very generic piece, but that doesn't make it bad by any means, I just suggest you try to stray away from this sound a bit, make your own sound because I feel like I've heard this same kind of song fifty times. I do enjoy this, though, makes me feel the need to move my head back and forth which makes me feel quite foolish, but that's a good thing. Put together quite well. Overall I'll give this a 8/10.

Good job, I hope to hear more.

elevendarkdays responds:

thank you for the review. I know what your talking about with the sound being generic, but this is my 3rd song and I'm working my way into more complicated patterns, rhythms, beats, and sounds. So if you keep track of my work you will start to see that it is becoming more complex. Once again thank you for the review and listen.

I am a disciple of music.
